Founded in 2008 with a clear mission to protect and enhance the River Wear catchment, we have stayed true to our original intentions while continually growing and evolving. Today, with a refreshed brand and a strong vision, we are building on that foundation to create an even greater impact for the river, wildlife and communities we serve.

We focus on improving the environment of our urban and rural communities, using nature-based solutions to problems such as pollution, flooding and habitat loss.
